The aim of this small group is to establish a lay Buddhist Sangha in Plymouth, addressing the need for more viable options for Buddhists in the area.
We aim to hold weekly meetings that are freely offered to all. The first meeting is on 14th of September 2026, all are welcome to meet in peace and friendship.
The facilitator for these gatherings is Brian Watson.
Our primary focus will be on meditation and basic familiarisation with the teachings of the Buddha as found in the Pali Canon.
Meetings start promptly at 7:15 pm and should last until around 8:30 pm, after which we enjoy a social tea break to conclude the evening.
This group aims to strengthen our tenuous connections with Hartridge Monastery, part of the Forest Sangha ( it's near Honiton.)Therefore, we encourage lift shares for those willing to visit Hartridge and participate in offerings, workshops, and teachings when possible.
